Amigurumi Lion Free Pattern

Materials:
- 2.5mm hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- 11mm safety eyes
- Yellow, white, brown and black yarn
- Pink yarn (optional, for blush)
Muzzle:
In white yarn
R1 - 5sc in mr
R2 - inc all round (10)
Invisible FO. Make a second piece but don't FO.
R3 - With the hook under one stitch from each piece, sl st 3. FO, leave a long tail for sewing.
Embroider the nose with black yarn.
Head:
Start with yellow yarn
R1 - 6sc in mr
R2 - inc all round (12)

Tail:
Start with brown yarn

Invisible FO, change to yellow yarn. You can add a bit of stuffing, or use some scrap yarn of the same color as stuffing.
R6-13 - (8 rounds) sc all round (6)
R14 - join both sides together with 2sc. FO, leave a tail for sewing.
Assembly:
1. Sew on the body to the head.
2. Make the mane. On the front loop on rounds 14-22, starting on the last one on the back of the head, sl st. *mbo, ch, sc in the next stitch*. Eventually you will run into the body, when that happens FO and start again on the other side.
mbo = modified bobble stitch. Start a treble crochet, but don't do the last yarn over. You will have 2 loops on your hook. Do the same thing twice more on the same stitch, for a total of 4 loops on your hook. Pull through all of them.
3. Sew on the arms between R18-19.
4. Sew on the legs between R8-9.
5. Sew on the tail between R9-10.
